Those who enforce the law should first obey the law

The Council would have us believe that the Smart Car is all about safety and has nothing to with raising money. If it is a danger to public safety to stop on a yellow line even for just a short while then employees of the Council who flout these laws should be fined too and disciplined and persistent offenders dismissed from the councils employment. We will be writing to the council to find out how many fixed penalty notices have been issued to the Smart Car drivers and whether any have faced disciplinary action for putting the boroughs ratepayers in danger. Below is clear evidence that council employees have flouted the highway code and parking regulations of Havering.
